This policy explains what Talbot Global Industries LLC collects when you use our website, calculator and API, including the DueDate API at duedateapi.com, and how we use it.
What we collect
- Account data: your email address and API key records when you sign up.
- Billing data: payments are handled by Stripe. We receive subscription status and limited details such as the last four digits of a card; we never see or store full card numbers.
- Usage data: request counts, timestamps and IP addresses, used for rate limiting, abuse prevention and billing.
- Calculation inputs: dates and terms you submit are processed to return a result and are not used for any other purpose.
How we use it
To provide and secure the Service, enforce plan limits, bill subscriptions, respond to you and meet legal obligations.
No sale or sharing
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Cookies and similar technologies
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and the site and API do not set tracking cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy first.
Service providers
We use these providers, which process data on our behalf under their own privacy terms:
- Cloudflare: hosting, database and network security.
- Stripe: payments and billing.
- SimpleLogin: email alias forwarding for support emails.
Where data is processed
We are based in the United States, and data is processed in the US through Cloudflare and Stripe. Cloudflare may serve requests from data centers near you.
Retention
Request logs and IP addresses are kept for up to 90 days, unless needed longer to investigate abuse or resolve a billing issue. Account and billing records are kept while your account is active and afterwards as required for tax and accounting, typically 7 years, then deleted or anonymized.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and storing API keys only in hashed form. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify affected customers without unreasonable delay as required by law.
Children
The Service is for businesses and is not directed to anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information by emailing hello@talbotglobalindustries.com. Residents of California, the EU and the UK may have additional rights under their local laws. We will respond within 45 days.
Changes
We will post updates on this page with a new date, and we will email account holders about material changes.
